Shenanigans With Salt

sherlock-hound:

A young art student stands in a classroom, her final senior project on full display, waiting for her professor to come in and give her the final critique that will determine her fate as an artist. She has spent countless hours toiling over a series of digital portraits, knowing that she has never prepared a more important piece of work than the one she has for today. After a nerve-wracking 10 minutes of waiting, her professor comes in, and for 10 minutes, he silently examines her work. Finally, he turns to her, and says “These aren’t bad, but did you use a tablet?”

“W-well yes…” She replies, nonplussed by his response.

“Hm…” he frowns. “Well, you see, I don’t really approve of the use of tablets. I mean, they’re basically for total cheaters who can’t use a mouse.”

“Excuse me?” she says.

“And did you use references?”

“W-well yes…”

“I never use references. That’s totally cheating. Are you even a real artist?” He walks around the paintings once more. “And couldn’t you have made your art a little more…you know, yaoi? I hate western art. And you didn’t even include a single anthro or give anyone cat ears! No, I’m afraid this will never do. You fail.” The art student is expelled from the university the very next day, while her best friend simultaneously earns his BFA for his mixed-media presentation of his Sonic the Hedgehogs OCs drawn in MSpaint in a youtube montage set to Linkin Park
